A tired Work-at-Home Mom studying medical transcription

A common question from a student who has a full-time job, but wishes to train to become a work-at-home medical transcriptionist.

Sorry to say that my “real” job is keeping me too busy to do much of anything including my studies at Med Workshops.  To make a long story short, I am not keeping up.  I will continue as much as I can, but the time and energy is not there.

Here is an answer from two of our instructors:

1  Without referring to a self help book, the suggestion is simple yet hard to get started on; organize your life!!  Clean out the cobwebs and literally organize things in your home/car/overall environment.  Along with this, make a list on paper or in Microsoft Word of things you need or would like to accomplish and as they are completed cross them off.  This is a good way to get rid of the clutter in your head that keeps you feeling busy.  As we always see, there are a lot of commitments and duties people sign up for and it can be overwhelming.  Getting some of these off your plate can allow for some much needed and deserved mind room and peace.

2  Oh yes, the awful and stiffling brain clutter.  It can become like a loud white noise in your mind.  Your life won’t be clear anymore.  Some people say to take life as it comes, but there are times when planning or an overall game plan is needed.  One can’t “wing it” everyday especially with how fast things change.

Write down your goals- they must be written because a visual focus is so much better than a mental one.  Establish subtopics under the larger goals.  Check the little things off as you acccomplish them.  You will feel so good ticking off completed goals and desires.  This becomes a great reward in itself.  Try it!!
