Interview with a Work-at-Home Medical Transcriptionist

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

Interview with Cassie who has been a Work-at-Home Medical Transcriptionist for eight years.  Cassie prepared for Medical Transcription by training at home.

Question – “Cassie, you’ve established yourself now, would you ever go back to working in an office?”

Answer – “Not if I don’t have to. The most important aspect of this career path for me is the ability to work at home. There are so many advantages and very few drawbacks. I would definitely feel stifled if I had to go back to an office setting.”

Cassie has worked up the ladder from newbie to proofreader and now works as a medical transcription instructor.  She has seen a great deal of this profession and I’m sure she will have insights into what it is like to work-from-home as a Medical Transcriptionist.
